The Chris Lees-trained Luncies ($ 7.50) on the fast track Chairman’s Quality third here on Day 1 of the championship is the second runner-up in double digits.

Thirteen of the last 27 Sydney Cup champions have had their last lead as president.

Other prominent Horses for the Sydney Cup with a higher odds include: second place in the Chairman’s Quality rankings last weekend Knights (13 USD) for Waterhouse / Botta, Adelaide Cup winner Phillip Stokes at 3200m on March 14 Daqiansweet Junior ($ 18) and 56 kg maximum weight Selected ($ 18) ranks third in Tancred.
